We did lots of exploring to my family roots- McGovern – in Derrylin, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Here are the boys in front of the Aughakillymaude School {currently a historical center for the town} – my grandfather’s oldest sister, Jane, attended here before the family moved to Massachusetts. My great-grandmother lived in the home across the street with her father & baby Jane – while my great-grandfather Francis was establishing himself in America.

So many old ruins- castles, and workhouses…it was humbling for all four of us.
My mouth still waters thinking about these dreamy rhubarb pancakes with lemon curd from Gertrude’s Cafe in Dublin.
My boys had a proper Irish breakfast….
Boy humor: they insisted we find Butt Bridge in Dublin and take a photo. SIGH.

I think we saw approximately 18 rainbows during our week in Ireland :0)

The Nataional Leprechaun Museum was such a big hit- we had to go TWICE!

One of the most amazing days {it was cold and windy so the crowds were minimal} was Giant’s Causeway.
I can’t say enough about the absolutely OVER the TOP service at Conrad Dublin- we felt like legit royalty & still talk about it all the time!

Hank working on some school work while at the Titanic Hotel before we spent the day at the Museum. This used to be the drawing room for the company that built the Titanic and other massive steamships in Belfast.
