This summer I worked on this truly magical, out-of-the-box inspiration shoot that was a dream of Kristin Burgess of By Emily B. Event Design & came to life with florals by none other than Morgan of Valley Flower Company…. AND it was just published on INSPIRED BY THIS! Wheeee!!!!
This shoot was a flurry of emails & texts and wild ideas all bounced around…we wanted to be BRIGHT, BOLD, and DIFFERENT….Rainbows & Unicorns…a nod to artist Lisa Frank and our 1980′s Trapper Keepers…but we wanted it to be inspiring too… so couples can see that yes- they can incorporate what THEY love into their weddings….
Liz Washer came up from CT and did an impeccable job with make-up: Makeup By Liz
Stationary suite by Nicole of Coral Pheasant Stationery & Design – who really nailed the them directly on it’s head!
Sweet little polka dot cake- Pleasant Street Sweets
It was 17 degrees below zero when I packed my car this winter and ventured over to Woodstock, Vermont on assignment for Hawthorn Publications….incredibly cold, but incredibly rewarding. While documenting the old & new maple syrup processes used today for the maple sugaring process I learned A LOT. And realized how much I really didn’t know about the sugaring process! So exciting to see my image Bourdon Farm Sugar House gracing the cover of the Woodstock Inn & Resort Magazine!
p.s. thank you to the Bourdon’s- they were so kind to welcome to me into their home to warm up with a nice cup of tea- sweetened with maple syrup :0)
