Oh….the beach….I’ve been itching to get my toes in the water the past few weeks, so when Adria suggested that we go to the beach for their engagement session I jumped at the chance. There was this cool fog in one section…and it was just so romantic and dreamy! Are romantic and dreamy the same thing? Not sure, but they rocked it…and I was lucky that I had Henry’s baby quilt in the car!

In just a few short weeks these too will be married at the Castle in the Clouds- I can’t wait! xoxo

This was a wedding I shot this past July down in St. Croix, Virign Islands- I hadn’t gotten around to blogging it….and today, since it is so bitterly cold, I thought it would be nice to pull up these pics!

Rachel incorporated peacock feathers into her theme- these were her grandmothers and a handful of daisies to make her bouquet.

Ceremony on the dock….

Djavad is a pilot- so the guest book was a propeller!

First dance with some flair!

The morning after the wedding we headed into town and roamed around- the possibilities were endless!

The old ruins were nothing short of AMAZING!

Yankees…Red Sox….you know I’m with Rachel :0)

Jill and Mark were married this past September on Martha’s Vineyard {I had never been before…and I have to say it is officially now one of my most favorite places on earth}. All of the festivities took place at the amazing Beach Plum Inn – and we went off site for a bit into the fishing village of Menemsha for some beach and rustic fishing photos}. It was an emotional and intimate day. Mark’s mother, Corinne, had passed away- and they opted to have their small wedding at one of her most favorite places- the Beach Plum Inn. Jill wore Corinne’s special charm-bracelet around her flowers….

The girls on the beach….all the flowers were done by Flowers on the Vineyard

Boys doing what boys do…..

Jill & Mark opted for a 1st look at the beach…I love this {and p.s. he still teared up when she came down the aisle!}

Love the beach grass & the village….

We borrowed this bike from a random happy couple….sitting on the swing at the Inn….

Wedding party at Mememsha Beach…

Many of the little details & much of the planning was done by Jill’s sister-in-law Kate, who’s wedding I shot last year. Remember? HERE

First dance…

Mark danced with his mom’s sister….there wasn’t a dry eye in the Inn…myself included….
Congratulations Jill & Mark on your very special day- I’m so happy I made the trek to Martha’s Vineyard!
P.S. and a big thank you to my little sister, Sara, for being my assistant for the day and lugging all my gear {because I was too scared to take the scary ferry boat by myself!} xoxo
