Prudente Photography: Anya & Jimmy Promo & Love Shoot

Yesterday, it was bitterly cold at our state capitol, Concord…but I had a blast doing some love/promo/anniversary shots for the adorable Jimmy & Anya of Prudente Photography out of Boston. These two know dramatic lighting like nobody’s business….it was awesome to talk shop, grab some fun shots, and swap lenses!

You might remember these two- I did their engagement session back in 2009 & it was so much fun…we borrowed an old red and white pickup truck….but my silly blog won’t let me link back to those images. Sigh.

Love this door on this church in downtown Concord- took me a few tries to remember where it was, but we got there!

I can’t decide if I like Anya better in color or b&w…..so hard to choose!

We were all SO COLD in this alley way….you have no idea…”think warm happy thoughts!”

Be sure to go check out Prudente Photography….Anya & Jimmy’s website is crazy awesome {and makes me want to overhaul mine!} xo

Adria + Jason’s Engagement Shoot- Seacoast, New Hampshire

Oh….the beach….I’ve been itching to get my toes in the water the past few weeks, so when Adria suggested that we go to the beach for their engagement session I jumped at the chance.  There was this cool fog in one section…and it was just so romantic and dreamy! Are romantic and dreamy the same thing? Not sure, but they rocked it…and I was lucky that I had Henry’s baby quilt in the car!

In just a few short weeks these too will be married at the Castle in the Clouds- I can’t wait! xoxo

Posing Workshop: Carla Ten Eyck Tuesdays- Hartford, Connecticut

This week I made the trek down to Connecticut to spend the day with the insanely talented photographer AND teacher- Carla Ten Eyck. I know I’ve mentioned her before, and without sounding all gushy and weird, but spending some 1 on 1 time with Carla gives me a serious kick in the butt to kick up my photography and my self-esteem. When I get in a rut, I always know that I need to spend some time with Carla. And after all  my crappy bed-rest & maternity leave with Henry- some C10 time is EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. I’m so pumped now to kick off engagement/family/wedding season now! {If you are a photographer and need some inspiration & instruction….you have to hook up with Carla!}

The models were the totally GORGEOUS Mr. & Mrs. Jared Crandon…not models…just totally should be! Tori was drop-dead gorgeous & had the coolest vintage dresses…hello, Mad Men…..she totally needs to become a stylist….she just doesn’t know it yet.

Hair and make-up was done by the ridicously talented Catie Bane of Dana Bartone & Company. {And on a totally different side note, I’ve cancelled my appointment to bob my hair…I’m letting it grow thanks to Tori!}
